Report: Honda plug-in hybrid car coming in 2013

It appears that the introduction of the Nissan LEAF EV made the other automakers hurry up with their development of plug-in hybrid vehicles.

According to the latest reports, Honda is currently working on a hybrid car that can be recharged at home and an all-electric vehicle, which will be released in about three years, in 2013. On Tuesday, Honda President Takanobu Ito will announce the firm’s hybrid and alternative vehicle plans

And learn and improve on what's out there...although you do remember Honda had EV's about 10-15 years ago...

The above MO is pretty much what Honda has done for ages....the Odyssey, Accord, CRV, Civic, Fit....these vehicles may have not been the first to be in their respective segments, but they are near or at the top now.

Honda playing follow the leader? I remember when Honda was a leader. Maybe their robotics division is doing better.

LOL! Be that as it may I really do like the styling of this car. It's honest. If I end up with one I'll just have to be conscious of when the circus is in town so I don't get corraled onto center ring.

It is great post. hybrid cars has awesome features.I think honda will do this because just look at how they treated the first 2 generation Honda Civic GX's (natural gas civics). Even though they were sedans they were "4-seat-ers." Honda could market it as a more luxurious rear seating area for carpooling.I think Hyundai just spilled the beans on the Elantra grille, the Veloster Grille, and possible Accent Sedan Grille.
