SPIED: FIRST Shots Of The Next-Generation Honda Civic Hit The 'Net
After a long wait, it looks like we're getting our first look at the next-generation Honda Civic.

And although Honda's sales seem to be doing oh-kay, the real question comes with how the new Civic will look. As we have seen Honda design take an interesting route, we're really curious to see if the Civic will take on a conservative look or something a bit more edgy.

Considering the Honda Civic is one of the annual top sellers, Honda cannot mess this up. Especially when brands like Hyundai and Kia are gaining serious momentum.

It’s nine not out for the Civic. Our spies have captured the first pictures of the ninth generation of Honda’s Golf rival out testing near the firm’s German R&D centre.

And despite the layers of matt black disguise, the next Civic will retain the adventurous styling of its predecessor. Slightly longer, wider and lower for a sportier stance, the next Civic retains the swooping hatch shape with a short, stubby bonnet, steeply rising shoulderline and stubby tail that make the current car so distinctive...

With the high tail lights this could be the Euro/world Civic that is usually a hatchback. Or it could be anything, with all that cammo it is impossible to tell.

@91z4me

I agree, was debating that myself. Esp. considering it came from UK's AutoExpress and was spotted testing in Germany.

Time shall tell, sir.

Wow, seems like there has been an evolution of prototype disguises lately. This thing is covered like Darrelle Revis on a wideout. If I wasn't told this was a Honda I would have thought it could be the next Hyundai Scoupe.

Too heavily camoflaged to tell anything yet.

The profile looks kinda prius-ey toward the rear. I bet they are going hatchback. The front looks very similar to the current Civic though

Impressive camouflage. Looks as though they created some custom molded hard plastic panels. A far cry from the typical black plastic sheets stuffed with foam and attached with tape.

Yawn
