SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's C-Class Coupe SPOTTED With Refreshed C-Class Sedan

SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's C-Class Coupe SPOTTED With Refreshed C-Class Sedan
After years of not exactly having a direct competitor to BMW's 3-Series coupe, Infiniti's G Coupe and the latest from Audi, the A5, it appears that Mercedes-Benz is stepping up to the plate with a 2011/2012 C-Class Coupe.

Although it can be argued that the CLK-Class cars were competitors, they were always priced a bit more aggressively than the 3, G and A5. Now with a dedicated C-Class coupe, we estimate the base coupe will debut around the $35,000 mark.

What will the C-Class coupe have to do to make it a viable option against the competition?

Not surprisingly, Mercedes-Benz engineers are testing the redesigned for 2011 C-Class sedan together with its new two-door brethren that will carry the C-Class Coupe name populating another niche for the German carmaker when it arrives in the market next year.

The development of the new C-Class Coupe has led to some modest styling updates for the sedan (obviously for the Estate model also), which include the re-designed front bumper and headlights along with a recontoured grille. It also appears that the sedan's gets a reprofiled rear bumper and a fresh design for the tail lights...

Nice... finally a C class coupe to battle those darn 3 series.
I just hope they upgraded to interior and did away with that pop up navigation screen

Which C-Class can battle with the BMW 335? None.

@LexSucks

Remember, the 350s will be getting a revamped powerplant to bring it up to date...

C350 needed that update years ago.

Even if they're not great handling cars at least we know how insane the C63 AMG will be. It was never meant to out handle the M3 but just to offer another method of enjoying yourself. They are two different animals but very fast nonetheless. It's those milliseconds that make the difference on the track but in everyday driving the average person probably won't care about the performance so much.

The 350's will definitely get a new engine. I actually like the pop up screen. I think the new C Coupe will not only be a looker but will definitely steal some sales from the 3 series and the G.
