Question of the day: What does Infiniti mean… ?
Infiniti is prepared to boost brand awareness and sharpen its brand’s image with Ben Poore at the helm. As vice president of Nissan North America’s Infiniti Business Unit for the last 1.5 years, Poore has a new campaign that seeks to emphasize the brand’s thrust of “performance luxury.”

Infiniti certainly needs the marketing push as rivals in this segment, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Lexus, have become more popular while it has been seemingly left behind. Infiniti’s vehicles, such as the G37, the 2011 M sedan and the QX56 SUV have received much acclaim but sales have been slow due to having spent over a decade sharing vehicles and marketing resources with sibling brand, Nissan.

Very good cars, that drive very well. They need more of a variety of CARs and SUVs. When they have a new system let it be available across the entire line. But they will add it to vehicles year by year just to save something new to announce later. Example in five months people will be able to buy the M35h what about the M35xh no they have to have something to announce in six months. They just don't have the money available to run with the Big Dogs.

"To Infiniti and beyond"! Oh, wait that was Toy Story. Never mind. It means expensive Nissan.

Sporty compact and mid-sized rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive luxury and near-luxury coupes, sedans and crossovers. More reliable than Cadillac. Lower-priced and more reliable than BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar, Volvo and Saab. Sportier than Lexus, Acura, Lincoln and the top-of-the-line rear-wheel drive Hyundais.

Freakish, reptilian compact and mid-sized rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive wannabe-luxury coupes, sedans and crossovers. Uglier than Cadillac. Cheaply-made and less refined than BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar, Volvo and Saab. Lower brand recognition than Lexus, Acura, Lincoln and the top-of-the-line rear-wheel drive Hyundais.

That's why INFINITI needs a GT-R variant to shut the other's mouth as well those Nissan's GT-R developers! What's so hard to understand?

Infiniti need a BMW M3, Audi RS5, Lexus IS-F, MB C-Class AMG C63 and Cadillac CTS-V fighter. They should make another G37 Sedan and coupe and give it the Nissan GT-R 3.8 liter V6 twinburboand engine with 485 hp to 500hp. And than call it the G37S GT or G37S-Spec-R to go against the cars mention above. And than it should be able to run ring around those cars mention above.

And they also need a BMW 7-Series, MB S-class, Audi A8 and Lexus LS460/LS600hl fighter as well. Their M37 and M56 just got release, so it to early for me to make comments on it.

Infiniti: The Japanese car that BMW should be compared to, but for some reason everyone keeps talking about Lexus instead.

I like Poore's focus on "performance luxury". Very original. No one else is in that segment and he should be able to build on the name recognition that came from the Infinity GT-R. And look at what a great job he did with Lincoln-Mercury bringing them to the forefront of the luxury and entry-luxury markets.

(and yes, that IS sarcasm)
