Is It A Suprise That Volkswagen's New Jetta Is Looking More Like An Audi Than A VW?
If you were at Waterfest this year, you already know that the Volkswagen booth had a special treat on display. For those who couldn't make it out, this treat was in the form of a brand new 2011 Jetta, not even on sale for another few months, already fitted with some parts from the Volkswagen Accessories catalog. Those parts, seen on a brand new white Jetta, consist of a new body kit — including a new front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper — a lip spoiler on the trunk, and black wheels.

We here at VWvortex think that the body kit adds quite a bit to the look of the new Jetta. There's definitely some Audi lineage showing in the design of the car, especially in the taillights.

From the front, no. But yeah, that side profile reminds me of a previous gen A4.

but I dont see the complaint because audi bought Lambo and they use almost lambo everything on their sports cars now that VW aquired Audi why wouldt they use Audi bodies and parts. I say If you running the show why not. but VW running into what GM did buy any car company available I just hope it all works out for them in the long run and now they may buy Alfa Romero.....when will it stop

what's the big deal? not like anyone believed the parts bin is not shared between the two. VW's are front wheel drive only Audi's.

There is quite a bit more to it than that in the powertrain dept, but essentially they pretty much are sourced from the same bins in many other areas.

Ok so is this good for VW or bad for Audi in the long run?

The rear view (see gallery pic below) borrows quite heavily from the A4.

Looks like VW is taking the Jetta where Audi took the A4. To Blandsville.

Audi's HQ is located there.
