Imagine if Toyota give it the 3.5 liter engine in the Lexus IS350 and give it 300+ hp and 277 lbs. of torques = ). Even better give it 330+ hp, it will definitely give the Nissan 370z a ran for it money. Hey it my dream, so back off dweeb.

This car look really sick, I hope the production look similar to this. Anyone up here know what segment will this car compete in?

Thanks

Toyota can't give it any V6. This car is being engineered on a modified version of Subaru's Imprezza chassis and it will only hold Boxer engines, Subaru's engines.

By the way Toyota should file a copyright or patent or whatever you call it before you know who will copy it ; -)

Who would copy this rebadged version of a Subaru design?

Hopefully, the rumors of Nissan bringing back the 240SX (Silvia) are true, because it would be great competition for this!

$29,000??? What happen to it being under $20,000? Was that just a lie to get us interested, and then "BAM!" hit us with a price tag that's 33% more? Talk about bait and switch!!! All of this coming from Toyota.

This car will end up being nothing but a Harmless Coupe.

alright. Sounds good. There's always time for Supra once Toyota's sporting reputation is rebuilt.

How on earth is this thing supposed to compete? At $7,000 more than a miata, about 500lbs more then a miata, and 17hp less than a miata... :-/ Heck, at that price you can even get a 5.0 Mustang or Camaro SS... or for $1,000 more get a Nissan 370z haha.

$22K, then $25, now $29K!!!! WTH Toyota? I guess the 'affordable, light, sporty' car that was originally spec'd has gone the way of the later model Celica.

It's going to be branded as the Solara Coupe I garuantee it. Just wait. They had a chance to win back performance hearts and minds and with all the recalls and lawsuits it would have done them well to spark interest in the brand again, but nope. This was ruined as well. Many will wait for the Subaru version.

30 grand for a 2.0L "sports" car won't cut it. That thing better be turbo'd
