Breaking: Ford Explorer Sport Trac will be phased out
As you may know already, Ford unveiled yesterday the 2011 Explorer but it appears that the launch of the new car could mean the death of another one.

We are talking about the half-pickup, half-SUV Sport Trac, which will disappear after a decade in showrooms. With this move, Ford wants these customers to buy the F-150 which is offered in crew cab configurations that marked the Sport Trac. Not a surprise but I liked it. I hope Ford's upcoming F6 based Ranger takes up its space in the lineup.

No it can't. The current Ranger is only available as a regular cab and extended cab. The extended cab has jump seats that face the center of the cab, not family friendly.

Sure the upcoming Ranger will likely be available with 4 doors but the current model does not.
