Breaking: Porsche 918 Spyder production receives green light
If yesterday, the production of the Porsche 918 Spyder was just a rumor, today it became official and Porsche announced that the development of the new supercar received green light.

For those who don’t know, the concept made its debut back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, was powered by a V8 engine capable to deliver more than 500 horsepower and a maximum engine speed of 9,200 rpm but also by two electric motors that developed a total output of 218 hp (169 kW). The engine was mated to a seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission that feeds the power of the electric drive system to the rear axle.

It will be one crazy super car. It's not a successor to the CGT but it's a replacement if you think about it.
