VIDEO: We SPY The Bugatti Super Sport In Spain

By now you may be a little bit bored of what Bugatti has produced. Yeah, the Veyron is great and all...

Pft! Who are you kidding?

Its latest creation, the Super Sport, is a fantastic piece of engineering that has set the production vehicle speed record by clocking in at approximately 268 MPH. Not only that, it is wearing a MK1 997 GT3RS-like paint job.

Even better is the spy footage recently unearthed from Spain that shows the Super Sport undergoing what appears to be testing, according to Carscoop.

The ludicrously powerful Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport special may have set a new world speed record a couple of weeks ago at the VW Group's Ehra-Lessein proving grounds in Germany, but (apparently) the supercar is still being tested on normal roads. Our amigos from Diariomotor stumbled upon an undisguised example of the Super Sport hanging out with two more "standard" Veyrons somewhere in Spain and made good use of their camera and camcorder.

The Veyron Super Sport comes with four enlarged turbochargers and super-size intercoolers pushing the output of the 8.0-liter W16 engine to a mind-boggling 1,200-horsepower and 1,500Nm or 1,106 lb-ft of peak torque...

Captain slow was the pilot like he was the first time. It's the fastest car on Top Gear!. Faster than the ultra fast Gumpert!. I was shocked. All that weight it was carrying the power literally powered it up to the top of the chart.

I'm not too sure about the color scheme but the interior looks great.

next stop: nürburgring (let's hope they find an insurance company to allow that)

btw, ain't it funny? this kitcarcompany needs 186 additional hp to go 5 km/h faster than the standard veyron, bugatti needs 200hp to go ~30kmh/h faster and that with an energywasting awd setup.

Well, that's expected; otherwise, it's a big fail on VW's part.

I'm sure that the SSC is a great car; it's more for a raw sportscar. The Bugatti is a great achievement, esp. with all the luxuries and smoothness at such high speeds, but from what I've read and seen, comparing the Bugatti to the SSC is like comparing apples and oranges.
