The new Dimension for the Mercedes S-Class

It must hurt too see these beautiful MB designs.

Everything Toyota designs looks like a barge. I always wondered how a company with so much money keep designing crap.
Infinity is doing a pretty good job. What is wrong with Toyota?

The last ES looked like "Pokemon" and the SC looked like an inverted bathtub.

The only car that looked good was the previous LS and that was a 100% rip off from MB's 92-99 S-class (W140).

I just gave my opinion. There is no need for name calling. Last time I checked Infinity was not a German car company. Credit were credit is due.

Toyota IMO has one of the worst designs departments in the business.

The S is a revolutionary design and it looks nothing like an Altima. I expect Toyota to copy it very soon, especially the fenders that everybody has been criticizing.

It takes a while to copy a car that was just introduced. Just wait a year or two Toyota will be on top of it.

It's not our fault that Nissan chose a generic name for their "Luxury brand"

At least Mercedes-Benz has a rich history behind their name.

Did it ever occur to you how generic Infiniti and Lexus sound? Oh well...poser names for poser cars.

If you want to do some research on the "bangle butt" you might want to look at some really old classic car pictures.

BTW, did you see the new Camry? It has a "bangle butt" a la Mercedes (more subtle).

I couldn't believe how much the new Camry resembles a Lexus. I would be pissed off if I bought the new ES/GS.

NEW LS looks nothing like the new S class,which many of u lexus-haters were expecting,it's a gorgious and beautiful piece of art.

Is there anybody who actually purchased this new S-class and can give me some real feedback? I actually like both the new LS 460/600h and the S550, which one to pick?

I would not even consider an LS600H. Too much money to be a guinea pig. Plus Hybrid technology is a big scam.
It boils down to the LS460 vs S550. Personally, I haven't even seen the LS460, so I can't comment.

I've heard only good things about the new S550. It's supposedly a huge improvement over the S500 and many feel that MB is putting quality back on top of their priority list. Autoweek just released a great review of the S.

No matter what feedback you get over the internet you need to drive both cars.

Thanks for the feedback, I currently have an LS430 and S500. The lease on the S500 is over in a month. Although both are great cars, both do have their pluses and minuses. I really can't say one is better than the other, because it boils down to personal preference. However I give a lot of credit for Toyota for being in the position they are. Hybrid Technology might be a big flop or a big hit, I am the type of person who will take the risk just to see which one it is. Although many people are talking about gas mileage and power, I am just glad to see that this technology is available today. Hydrogen is the future, exactly, the future, not now. We live in the present, not in the future. I did test drive my friend's S550 and it was a nice ride, but not much different than the current S-class. The 600h really impressed me, but it's a year away and I need a car in a month. BMW totally lost me as big loyal customer, I don't even plan to consider.
