Toyota To Reface All Cars For Emotional Appeal

Toyota To Reface All Cars For Emotional Appeal

All new Toyotas will get a new grille and ‘family face’, as part of company boss Akio Toyoda’s aim to give the cars more emotional appeal.

Although the new front-end look is still being finalised, Toyota Europe boss Didier Leroy says it will be more consistent and recognisable than that of the current line-up.

I am doubting if this is for real but if it is then it better look good... Toyota's designs haven't been amazing recently, glad to see Toyoda's making changes.

Concepts are concepts...I'm sure that Toyota will find a way to make it more bland like making the lights more round, less sharp edges, smaller wheels/brakes...I don't think this will helps its cause unless they do something "radical" which is beyond the scope of Toyota.

Toyoda is saying all the right things lately but so far they're still in a bit of a freefall.

I hope the new designs are sportier and less bland like their current design language.

Anything would be better than current Camry/Corolla/Yaris grille. Toyota do it soon and don't mess up this time. Even Kia got a good but simple family grille now.

The money would be better spent on advertising on how they are improving the poor metal blend currently in the vehicles now, then people will know that the frames will not rust out in two years... Looks are also important, but to me quality is no-1, and Toyota has been failing badly for a while. Also they haven't been supported as much by Consumer Reports lately, very political there.

How about making safe cars that don't break down first?
