Ford dealers will upgrade diesels on Super Duty pickups free of charge
For those who don’t know, Ford will begin production this week of its most powerful diesel engine ever installed in a heavy-duty pickup, the 2011 F-Series Super Duty.

The new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 turbocharged diesel engine was introduced in April but it will be upgraded to 800 lbs.-ft. of torque and 400 horsepower, an increase of 65 lbs.-ft. of torque and 10 horsepower. Apparently, this move will be made because Ford vehicles had less power comparing to GM’s heavy-duty pickups.

Ford Super Duty is a great truck. I would love to have one parked in my drive way.

Yea but, the best truck engines come from Chrysler. And the best truck transmissions come from GM.

Ford does make a good truck but I just can't get past the grill and headlights. I wonder if the torque was stated @ 800 because the Cummins will be at 800 when the new 8speed ZF trans arrives for the Ram. Just a thought.
