From the numbers above they are clearly hits. But as much as i love the styling of new M, i hate the styling of new QX. The cheaper version Nissan Patrol looks better. But seeing the numbers it seems it is widely accepted by the American market. Here in Middle East the QX interchanges the position with Lexus LX. I mean LX sells in thousands and Infiniti struggles to sell one thousand QXs per year.

Im not sure if I should be shocked or amused that 1300 people actually wasted 60k on a hideous rebadged nissan.

Same goes for the ugly e-classless. Seriously, 5k? These fools arent looking any further than that 3 pointed star.

I'm shocked 5 series is selling @ 1/2 of E! For me that's the real failure. Aiyayai!

Also how comes the ugly QX is #1 sell? Shocked too!

It's not much of a mystery -- Benz is leasing those E-classes at a crazy subvented lease rates. They're literally about 50% less than comparable 5-series leases. Which is better, having people buy your cars at realistic figures or giving them away at figures that cost you thousands per car up front and thousands more when they flood the market coming back in off lease? BMW tried that years ago, personally I'm glad they're getting away from it. Mark this thread -- it's going to bite Benz in the ass down the road.

The M is inspiring much like the original G35. I am not surprised by the positive take on it. The QX is a great vehicle, but I would have to agree that it does look a bit out there in terms of styling. That said, I would wait till a few months for both the M and QX to see if these numbers go up or stay at the same rate. If they go up then the market likes it, if they stay at the same rate per month then the high numbers are due to the "First one on the block" buyers. The G is a bit more of a real number as the body style is almost 4 years old.

It's obbious from the numbers that Infiniti has one of the strongest lineups. Just because some don't like a car, doesn't mean it won't be popular. Everyone has difference in what they consider a great car. Good job Infiniti!

August and December are pivitol sales months, I think those months will be a better judge of success than July...
