SPIED: NEW Photos & Renderings Of The Upcoming Porsche Boxster

If you thought that the Porsche Cayenne and 911 were the only cars in its line up to get a makeover, think again. Porsche has been hard at work developing a better Boxster. And, from the photos from Auto Bild it looks like it is onto something.

Still sporting some camo, these new shots depict the upcoming Boxster in prototype form. Although these spy photographs aren't highlighting anything all that interesting, check out images 11 and 12.

Both renderings depict a revamped Boxster that looks a lot fresher and more up to date than even the Boxster Spyder -- not an easy task.

If the upcoming sports car looks anything like the renderings, will you be intrigued or merely wave it away as just "another Boxster..." ?

Looks to me like the wheelbase is significantly longer.

I like the original slope look (97-02) to the rear glass window, nice touch.

They sure are very lazy and seeing new models like Panamera and Cayenne they are also very untalented.

Neither car that you mentioned is worth writing home about. And when it comes to 911 and Boxster designs? They are very lazy. I didn't think that I would have had to qualify that statement.

Can't agree with you on the styling of the new Cayenne and Panamera. The Cayenne looks great in pictures (which the Panamera didn't) but the Panamera is beautiful in person!

Completely agree that the 911 and Boxter designers are either lazy and untalented or are under strict guidance not to fix it if it aint broken!

They have been phoning it in for years. Their rebuttal to when people call them out on this fact is that, they don't want to offend the Porsche purists who are the ones that buy the car.

Got news for you Porsche, when you started making the Boxter,Cayenne, Cayman and now the Panamera...you left the world of purist far far behind. Now how about actually updating the 911 hmmmm?!

Porsches used to stir my blood. You'd see one on the road in the 70's and 80's (even the 90's) and say to yourself...man thats a nice car. It would be up there with Ferrari in the cars that we boys had posted to our walls. Now...well now Nissans 370Z looks better and more up to date then the 911 or Boxter. And that just shouldn't be. I shouldn't want a Z over a 911...yet here I find myself looking at Porsche the same way someone might look at at VW GTI. Nice car, but ehhh.
