Ford Racing offering Mustang 5.0 V8 crate engine for $7,000
Back in January, Ford introduced the 2011 Mustang GT, powered by the all-new 5.0-liter V8 engine fitted with 4 valves per cylinder and Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT), producing 412 HP and 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) of torque.

The new engine showed an impressive fuel consumption of 25 MPG (9.4 l/100 km) for the highway and 17 (13.8 l/100 km) MPG in the city.

Nice. Now the tuners for Miata's can cram one of these motors in a their cars and create powerful axle hops.

I dont know why but I would love to shoehorn that motor in the new Taurus SHO. SHO is AWD, right? Anyway, "SHO 5.0" just sounds bad *ss...
