Tweet Confirms New Cadillac Small Car Line Slotted Below CTS
Last August, when Cadillac  showed journalists its future lineup, it hadn't yet settled on a name for a new family of cars to slot in beneath the CTS in its lineup.

According to a Tweet posted today by The Detroit News' Scott Burgess, GM has confirmed that the production version of the concept vehicle shown last summer will indeed be dubbed ATS.

ATS?

I can hear it now....

"Where you be ats?"
"I be in my ATS. Dat's where I be ats!"

Maybe Cadillac will revive the Cimarron badge and stick it on a Cruz or give the Cobalt a bit of pieced out luxury.

Cadillac may be approved to use the Alpha platform for the new baby Caddy. A few years ago, Holden made a slick small car concept based on Alpha platform (2004 Holden Torana TT36), it that's correct. It was listed to have RWD & a turbo 3.6L V6. A Cadillac version would be a great fit for the lineup today. At the time, the Torana was way ahead of it's time as it didn't really seem to fit in any of GM's lineups in the US. Now, GM can really use it yesterday.
