2011 BMW 5-Series FULL Price Sheet Hits The 'Net, Where's the M Sport Suspension?

2011 BMW 5-Series FULL Price Sheet Hits The 'Net, Where's the M Sport Suspension?
According to BMW forum members that have been able to get their hands on the full price sheet for the F10 2011 BMW 5-Series, something will be lacking; the M Sport Suspension that was hotly anticipated by many diehard fans.

This doesn't leave many people excited, apparently.

However, there is a plus to this information: it provides details on the 550i xDrive and provides the entire skinny on the M Sport option. Initially starting at $4,800 for the 528i, the price quickly ratchets up to $6,500 for the 535i/xDrive and 550i/xDrive.

Take a look and get back to us, is the pricing a bit steep for what the new F10 M Sport package offers? Are you disappointed in the lacking M Sport Suspension? If so, why?

I just got a full price sheet from my dealer effective 8/3 for the new 5 series. It includes a $6,500 option for M Sport and even includes the details on the 550i xDrive. I don't see M Sport Suspension anywhere...

I love a bimmer (well I lover the 5,3 and Z4 series) anyway! Man they can add some options and $$$ to these cars. I believe they build fine cars but are way out there on option pricing

Goodness. The pricing sheet reminds me of a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book.

damn they offer alot and it looks like even more since their individual program started. but honestly thats cool because nike offers sneakers on their website that u can color coordinate to your liking so Im definitley sure most people would like the almost unlimited amount of option they offer on the new 5.

The M Sport Package includes the regular Sport Package, the M Sport bodykit, and in the case of the 535/550 models, also includes the Dynamic Handling Package. Since you can purchase those packages separately what you're really paying extra for is the M Sport bodykit, and it amounts to $2600 on a 528i, and only $1600 on a 535/550. That's pretty damn cheap for a full factory bodykit. If I was personally spending $60-70k for a 535/550 I would want the Sport Package and Dynamic Handling Package anyway, so what it comes down to is whether I want the M bodykit for $1600 extra. And to me the answer is "absolutely hell yes".

actually I forgot the M Sport Package also includes the Anthracite headliner, which is another $500 option otherwise (and one I ordered on my 2008 5-Series). So really you're paying $2100 (528) or $1100 (535/550) for the M bodykit. Uh, yes, I'll take the M Sport.

No M tuned suspension must be to leave room for the new M5.
A lot of people will like the all show, no go, cosmetics only cushy ride M Sport 5er.
Others can get the new M5.
BMW makes everyone happy.

Nice car, but overpriced for what you get. I would opt for the M37/M56 over this.

buyers (me included) disagree. the 5-series outsells the M by multiples--and a significant premium. that speaks volumes. literally.

the M is a great looking, really good car. but it's still not a 5-series.

M is poor man's 5 series. I would rather take a 3 series than settle for M. I sold my 335 and have a 5 on order :)

How can the M be a poor man's 5 series if they basically cost the same and the M is better?

they don't cost anything near the same once comparably equipped. and the M is very good looking but does not match the equivalent 5-serious in performance terms.

for example:

M37 with every single possible option: $59,115
535i well equipped: $68,950. with every single option: $81,600.

not even close. and the differential is just as vast with M56 vs. 550i.
