According to the latest reports, it appears that Saab wants to enter the World Rally Championship with its upcoming 9-2 supermini.

whats up with this so-called new partnership with BMW and SAAB...I never heard of it....I must of been outta the loop on that one.

The 9-2 will be based on a Mini chassis that will be shared with other manufacturers as well. The article is here on Autospies a few pages back from this.
