SPIED: The 2012 BMW M5's Interior Gets SNAPPED

SPIED: The 2012 BMW M5's Interior Gets SNAPPED
The slow reveal continues.

BMW's next M-car, the M5, has been slowly undressing and so far we are liking what we are seeing. Now we know that it will use a version of the X5/6M's turbo'd V8 and it appears that it will be sporting some of the design cues from the vehicle as well.

*Note: the aggressive front spoiler

And these latest spy photographs show a new set of wheels, camo'd mirrors -- that look reasonably similar to the E60's mirrors -- a rear lip spoiler and some never before seen interior pictures.

Forum users have been quick to point out that there are two buttons on the steering wheel that read M1 and M2. Could it be two different M settings that a driver can program?

Take your guesses below, Spies...

The famous red needles on the dials are back, also looks like full leather and Alcantara headliner. Strange "M1" and "M2" on the steering wheel...

this car is starting to look like the rendering i came upon earlier this year (copy and paste link below). I still dont see the aggressiveness i would like to see on an M5. The bodykit if there is one on there looks plain. its very subtle for a sports sedan comparing to the E63 but this is still in a MULE phase so I will wait till i see the real thing

Click "Read Article" there you will see a bunch more pictures of the new things seen on the exterior as well.

This was noted above, as well.

I think Senorgato's comment refers to the fact that if BMW decided to change the color of any of their cars from "deep blue" to "deeper blue" it would be a major news item here. Also, the uber fanboys (you know who you are) would have a spontaneous orgasm.

@ senorgato

I kinda agree with u they need to start looking at recaro for a nice sport luxury seats and the only reason audi has a nice sporty interior especially the seats is because they preety much used the seats or seat design from lambo to put in their sports cars.

Wow, thats a big change. So, what did you guys do; go up to a regular bmw 5 series and take a picture. Thats really great though. Keep up the good work. No, really keep it up. I love the smell of sarcasm in the air.

Thanks for the information. I really can see how its a different car now. I'm being sarcastic by the way, but nevertheless the execution with the Bavarian has always been on point.

They're taking the M5 exterior back to the symplistic yet imposing styling of the e39! I'm liking what I see!
