After 5 Years Ford Chairman Finally Starts Accepting Paychecks
Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Co., is getting a big paycheck from the automaker that bears his family name, to make up for some of the five years he declined to take a salary.
The Dearborn-based automaker announced today that Bill Ford will be paid $4 million in salary and stock options of $11 million to $12 million. That is the amount he would have earned, had he been remunerated from 2008 until now -- but also reflects the 30 percent pay cut top executives agreed to for 2009 and 2010.
