Yeah I can see how that .68 more issues over 3 years might really effect you. (2010 JD Power VDS)

But of course you MUST be adding in the .09 issues in the first 30 days! (2010 JD Power IQS)

I don't know about you guys but a .77 potential of an issue over 3 years of ownership will never make or break a car purchase for me. There are too many factors to consider to let such a minute factor weigh that much.

Look no further than the recalls of last year to show that cars that rank highly can host a variety of issues that will never show up in these studies.

OK, we all understand the data. But, I'd like to know why many VW owners that I have met would not recommend them and why every Kia owner that I have met love them and quickly recommend them. Why do we always hear stories of VW problems, but none from Kia?

I love VW products, but the reliability is frightening and is the only reason holding me back.

"New Kia Rio to match VW quality"

I LOVE VW........so don't throw stones.......but it should not be that hard for Kia to accomplish honestly.

Having owned oodles of VW's in the past 20 years, they are good cars. BUT they do require a lot if time and money at the service garage.

Stop trying to make VW out to be some sort of Quality car company. Nice interior materials doesn't mean Quality.

Is this going to be the quality like in the soft-touch dashboard found on the small and cramped overpriced German-made Volkswagen Jettas?

Or like the cheap, hard plastic interiors found on the new large, but underpowered and more affordable, American Jettas?
