Something wrong with this picture. Passat start at 27K. This thing will be bigger than the passat and will also be priced in the low 20s with Jetta components. I don't see that competing with the big boys. If they had passat components then i would have seen some competition.

Ummm.....I am utterly confused. So, the Passat is not coming to the states? And if so whats the point of making this? So can someone please further explain to me this bad marketing situation. Also, thanks Daharder for the picture.

The current Passat is too small and expensive to be competitive. The American buit replacement will be larger and will allow VW to be price competitive as well.

The pic DaHarder has is pretty descent....if it goes to productions very much like that. VW has to provide a V6 with 285-300hp at the most to be competitive. It also needs to be available with the various type of content available in the cars that size & price range.
