SPIED: MORE New Shots Of Audi's Next-Gen A6

SPIED: MORE New Shots Of Audi's Next-Gen A6
Although you wouldn't know it due to some recent buff book results, the Audi A6 is behind in terms of the competition. But considering the A6 just cremated the 2011 BMW 535i, can we be so sure?

Regardless, the other day we showed you the first spy photographs and what do you know, we have some more.

And before some of you get all whiny and exclaim they are the same shots, they're clearly not. These updated photographs depict the vehicle from a bunch of new angles that allow a fine eye to spot the details. For example, in these photos you can clearly make out the C-pillar, which will continue the A6 tradition of that fixed rear window.

It will be interesting to see how Audi packages the new A6. Not only in terms of design but you have to wonder what kind of engines this thing will be packin'.

What say you, Spies?

Meet the new Audi A6. Spied out in the open for the very first time, these spy shots show the saloon version of the car that has a lot of catching up to do. Newer rivals like the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class have outclassed the current A6.

But that means the newcomer will be packed with even more groundbreaking tech to bring it right back into contention when it arrives next year.

Set to debut in the second half of 2011, the new A6 shares its underpinnings with the new A7. The chassis features 20 per cent aluminium to reduce weight, while the rest is made from steel to keep costs in check...

same as in they incorporate LED's and give off light? So BMW headlights are all the same if they have angel-eyes? Nice try, step up your hate game...

these headlights actually look quite aggressive, hope the rest of the design follows.

@ aarononymous

yeah whateva i am not hating get a clue im a car enthusiats not a BIASED BMW enthusiast like you are with AUDI.

AND so what the headlights look agressive they also look aggressive on the new A8 but aint shyt change on that car now did it oh my fault the car is a few inches wider and longer and has a bigger grille with the A4 tailights...I talk to audi buffs all the time and they ALL said the new A8 is already dated and thats what I said since I seen the unveiling....I just hope they dont do that to the A6 and they actually put some thought into the design and.......i give equal hate their is some stuff I DONT like about BMW but what drew me to BMW is their engineering history, M division, and oh so popular and award winning inline 6. I am a person who like to hear about the back work into making a car i like and not just a fan of the finished product.....

Yeap I see a very conservative lines like the A8 so just wait... I hope they work hard in the interior design.

Audi needs to update their designs. I think they are starting to get a bit stail.Other cars, especially BMW and Jaguar have caught up. Audi is in danger of losing sales if they do not push the envelope more.
