Report: Honda to fix a software flaw in 90,000 Civic Hybrids

According to a Bloomberg report, Honda has issued a service campaign in the US and is calling back 90,000 Civic Hybrids over defective software that could result to a shortening of the life of the vehicles’ nickel-metal batteries.

The affected vehicles are those in the 2006-2008 model years. Honda said that it has notified the owners to bring the vehicles to dealerships for a software reprogramming. Honda wants to clarify though that this campaign is a
