Nothing has changed since 2006 when this car was introduced - there still isn't a way to make affordable hydrogen fuel. Until that changes, hydrogen as a vehicle fuel is DOA.

Hydrogen 7, based on the previous generation BMW 760Li flagship long-wheelbase sedan is the production car in the world that can run on gasoline or hydrogen - and when you burn hydrogen and emit water vapor. Indeed, some tests have shown that the air leaving the exhaust pipe of the car is actually cleaner than the air entering the engine first.
