Inside Edition News Show Attempts To Trap Toyota Dealers Selling Unrepaired Cars
Toyota is concerned dealers are selling used cars without conducting recall-related repairs, according to an internal email leaked to
Jalopnik
. The same email also warns of
Inside Edition
conducting "ambush interviews." Why is Toyota worried?
In the last year, Toyota's recalled more than 5 million U.S. vehicles, covering a majority of the models they sell. The problems range from bad floormats to sticky accelerator pedals and involve various complex repair schemes.

Great Job Inside Edition!! I'm glad someone is exposing Toyota dealers that are not fixing these recalls. Without those recalls being fixed, someone could lose their life when the brakes fail on there new pre-owned car.

The greater issue would be how many used car dealers fail to do this. They are unfairly targeting Toyota dealers to get a story.

Toyota's fall from media grace is now officially complete - shows are activly out gunning for them and no one is willing to stand up and defend them. In the old days, this was called "being hung out to dry".

Your right. No one is standing up, because Toyota is guilty for lying to the American people. But little cowboy, it goes by another name called lynching and that's exactly what needs to happen. Toyota needs to be lynched or "hung out to dry" for what they have done.

Maybe Toyota does not pay well enough dealers to perform recalled repairs.

Brakes have never failed on a Toyota! Even if the gas pedal is pinned down, the brakes can still bring the vehicle to a stop!

Jesus, this is just low, I'd expect it from any dealer if it was expensive... but we are talking about cheap ass pins and zip ties...
