Should They Keep It? UAW Places Sale Of Exclusive Golf Resort On Hold
The United Auto Workers has put a hold on trying to sell its $33 million Black Lake retreat in northern Michigan.

The Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center was taken off the market at the request of UAW President Bob King and the union's new executive board, said John Karver, a senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis, the real estate firm handling the listing.

The request to take the property, on 1,000 heavily forested acres near Onaway, off the market came around the time of the mid-June election of King and the new board, Karver said.

Well they have to do something with all the money they got from the Bailout
and you don't expect a "screw driver holder for electric circuits only" to spend his 175k salary by only playing paintball ..do you? .
To be fair, after bashing imports and other cars that actually are screwed together well and actually work all the time, the UAW needs a strategy for the future. Does that mean that they will actually make better cars ? Hell no !!! That requires work, plus its better to wave the flag so poor saps not only pay for the cars once through their taxes but pay for them AGAIN through they hard earned money POST Taxes !!!

Ahhh the UAW .... the Silvoski and Mafia look on with wide eyed wonder.

They should keep it and use some of the conferene rooms as a base of operations to lobby for more bailouts, manage their next round of strikes demanding higher wages and benefits, complaining about eliminating work rules that protect useless jobs and so on. What a crime scene. I'd like to buy american but feeding these pigs is too much to ask.

This is why the domestic brands will always have a difficult time turning a profit(except Ford right now)on their cars. Too much overhead on stupid stuff.

They need to sell it and give the taxpayers some their money back, or atleast give us free memberships!
