Whatcar.com UK readers call the new BMW 3-series coupe boring

That's the result of a whatcar.com email poll on the 3 Series Coupe, the new model from BMW due to hit UK showrooms in the autumn.

We asked you whether the new Coupe was beautiful or boring - 64% of you said it was dull.

It's a marked contrast to a recent email poll on another new German coupe, where 72% of you said you loved the all-new Audi TT.

audi tt is for men and women who like to wear dresses. it comes with a tampon holder for goodness sake. besides, what do the brits know?

ePhilly is mixing up the TT with the new BMW 3-series coupe, which also does not have a tampon holder. It does have a seatbelt supplier arm which ePhilly thinks looks like a tampon holder, though.

...so far. It's much more complete a design than the normal sedan. At least the rear lights now have a personality and actually ADD to the car as opposed to the "blobs" on the sedan. Can't wait to see this with a sport kit on...Not a BMW fan, but I do think that the 3 coupe is probably one of their best cars on the road coupled with the obvious M5 and 6-series...

And yes, that new TT is absolutely stunning!

In the car business especially in magazines, Brits are far more respected for their knowledge of cars than americans are. Just so u guys in the states know, we see u guys as people without taste in cars. Many complaints go to ur big non-performing SUVs, and "slow" muscle cars to which we see no point in, because they r smoked by good V6s and r here only to show off HP and not to perform.
Personally, I dont think that and I like to pick up a Motortrend, and see ur taste differs from ours.

As for the 3series coupe, it will sell no mather what. I think that the saloon cant compare with the looks of the coupe, and look how many of them are already on the streeets!!!

BMW has been on top for so long. People will say or do anything to try and dethrone the Champion. But has you can see no matter how hard you bash BMW. They continue to deliver the Ultimate Driving Machine. Looks are subjective and can be debated. If you like the cars design then buy it. If you don't then don't buy it. I'll guarantee you one thing the new Z4 coupe, Z4 M coupe, and 335i will be flying off deals lots.
