According to our sources, it appears that Porsche will unveil a limited edition model based on the popular 911, in September, at the Paris Motor Show.

It appears that this limited edition has been long tested by the German engineers and represents a tribute to the current edition, which will be revised in 2011, according to the latest reports.

It's probably $180K, a bit steep for a "special edition" that doesn't go any faster than a standard S convertible.

Special Edition?!?...I can't recall the number of regular versions of the 911. I like Porsche...but they can go overboard...they have more versions of the 911 than some manufacturers have cars. No wonder they're a cash cow.
