Volkswagen Amarok coming to the United States, report says
Volkswagen’s Amarok might be sold in the US, according to a CarandDriver report that cited company insiders. There is no time frame yet for its release but in the meantime, VW is preparing the Single Cab version of the Amarok that is set to be released in the first quarter of 2011.

Details have yet to be confirmed but it is believed that the new model will feature the same engine lineup offered on the regular version.

Honda Ridgeline, as stunningly awful as it appears, looks nice in comparison. What is VW thinking? Just bring over the current Euro lineup in Diesel form and let it fly. This thing is stupid.

This car will speak to the market of small pickup seekers. Yes, these people do exist in the US.

The Ridgeline should have been a lesson for VW.

The Ridgeline isnt a pick-up truck. Its a utility vehicle with a bed.

No one will buy this toy with only 122 HP in America this may fly in Europe but VW better bring the ponies.

122-hp are adequate for this car. Nobody buys a pickup for performance driving. I'm sure that somebody eying the VW Amarok is more interested in a pickup that can perform its duties as well as being economical.

Just put about 40 sheetrock, you will need a tow truck to pull the 122HP toy.

And the ridge line only had 250 HP this thing has just 122 what a joke, people on this site think that just having a foreign name on a car/truck it will sale.

I thought it was torque that mattered with a truck. I doubt you will be doing top speed runs.
