The Worst A/C Mods On The Planet

Just when you think you have seen it all...

Sometimes you just have to throw your hands up and realize that people are just damned crazy. End of discussion.

Considering summer is winding down you would have expected this type of story to run during a heat spell, but nope. Here it is.

Essentially there are more than one crazy individual who has retrofitted other A/C units to their vehicle to get that extra boost of cool air.

What do you make of this? Genius or just plain dumb?

Is it hot enough for you? These drivers obviously weren't satisfied with the performance (or, more likely, non-performance) of their vehicles' air conditioners, so they have fitted them with residential window unit ACs. When we saw the first of these, we thought it was just one weirdo, but to our surprise this seems to be more common than you'd ever want to believe...

I tried to post twice the other day and neither one got accepted. I know at least one of them was better than this one. One may have been similar to old posts but the other was pretty good. Anyhow, I may have seen some of these vans in Key West. I like the blue truck with the A/C through the passenger door.

My 2007 civic has a bad air con, I took it in because it wasn't cold enough, they said it was working fine? In order for it to work and keep me comfortable I have to have it at MAx, maybe I should add one of these, I live in Canada where it doesn't get that hot too, I would hate to drive down south in the heat with my Civic.
