5 Luxury Hybrids That Are Worth Your $$ AND 5 That Are Not

5 Luxury Hybrids That Are Worth Your $$ AND 5 That Are Not
In the world of "luxury" hybrids, there are some that live up to their claims and other that are a let down.

It is that simple.

The question is, who are the good and who are the bad?

Although MSN has parsed out the results for us, we want to know the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid and Lexus HS250h are not worth the change

The biggest problem that 00R sees with this list is that it features not only the Ford Fusion Hybrid but also the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Uh, they're the same car.

One is just a tarted up Fusion, can you guess which one that is?

What say you, Spies?

Surprisingly, hybrid propulsion technology and luxury cars seem to go together like peas and carrots. Unlike their paltry-priced cousins that offer impressive fuel efficiency and give their owners that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from driving a more eco-conscious conveyance, luxury hybrids offer something more: performance and amenities equal to or better than their gas-powered cousins. Well, in theory, anyway. Some do a better job than others. From the stately Lincoln MKZ Hybrid to the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid, we present five of the latest luxury fuel-sippers worthy of your hard-earned cash, and five that don't live up to the hype...

I think it's funny that with a 14% improvement over the s550 with over 100hp less the s400 is still on their good side, yet at a smaller 70hp drop and a larger 24% improvement the Escalade hybrid is on their bad. Both get similar fuel economy lol.

The premise of the article is wrong. Assuming people buy hybrids for rational reasons is a fundamental mistake. These are purely emotional and social purchases.
