Ticket Camera Companies Setting Up Fake Groups To Promote Use Of Automated Systems

Recently, groups opposed to the use of ticket cameras have discovered that companies that promote and profit from the installation of ticket camera systems have been setting up fake organizations, or “front groups” to convey the illusion that there are local citizen groups who favor automated ticketing of motorists.

There is also the attempt to imply that these citizen based organizations are solely concerned about improving traffic safety.

Despite a seemingly blind mainstream media, it has been obvious to even casual observers that organizations like “Stop Red Light Running” were just shills for the ticket camera industry.

It is a new era manipulation and disinformation. Fabricating "grassroots" organizations is common and is referred to as "Astroturfing" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroturfing
Astroturfing is a form of propaganda whose techniques usually consist of a few people attempting to give the impression that mass numbers of enthusiasts advocate some specific cause. The Tea Party movement is a great example. On a side note, (but still related to subversive and deceptive propaganda), did you know that the primary owner of Fox News, after the foreign born Murdoch family, is Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. He is the same Saudi Prince that Rudy Guilianai rejected 10 million dollars from after 9/11 because he blamed the attacks on US foreign policy rather than the 19 Muslims, 15 of which were Saudi Arabian. http://www.prwatch.org/node/8906

America: “The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage.” Free Speech is Sacred. I agree with the statement from your profile. Your comments for this article are exactly what you said, but instead it is propaganda for the opposition to the Tea Party. Free speech is your rite but lets try to stay on topic.
