VIDEO: Can Ferrari's 458 Beat The 430 Scuderia's Lap Time?

Here we go!

Ferrari's all new flamethrower...er... 458 Italia was recently taken out by EVO Magazine to get a thorough workout and see how it compares on the Beford Autodrome to the 430 Scuderia, another special piece of kit.

Considering the 430 Scud nailed a 1:21.7, the 458's 1:20.3 is largely impressive. As EVO Notes, the 458's time was equally impressive since it was on street tires.


Ferrari's new supercar, the 458 Italia, is in the UK for a short series of road tests. John Barker is the man charged with extracting the best from it around the Bedford Autodrome...

I'm not going to complain but I thought it was pretty well established that the 458 is pretty damn fast when they are not spontaneously catching on fire. Hell, this car is probably as fast as an Enzo if it weren't "detuned".
