BMW's 1M Starts To Take IT Off
Well, would you look at that.
The 1M is slowly giving us what we want; to see 'er naked. Kind of like an attractive woman with a shirt hanging off her shoulder, she's just revealing enough to turn your head.
Boasting a set of cross-drilled rotors and a set of what appear to be 19-inch wheels similar to that of the BMW M3 Competition Package, it definitely has a traditional, BMW look to it.
Stay tuned for more details as the unveiling MUST be soon...
As speculated before, BMW shows more details of the upcoming 1-series M Coupé at the BMW CCA Oktoberfest today. Since not all 1-M enthusiasts can attend that event, BMW just published a new teaser video on m-power.com. Enjoy...

Unfortunately, this will be another over-priced, over-weight, over-optioned BMW. If they want to offer something really cool, how 'bout a decontented 1 series with a turbo 4, without all the bullshit power accessories and electronics for around $30K.

you can get a basic 1-Series for around $30k. It's called a 128i. And if you really have to have a 4-cylinder you can move to Europe.

I agree with you 100% Irishmike. I was saying the same thing. This car should never have been sold with a 6 cylinder. It should have been kept in spiritual succession to the 2002. But BMW has lost its way in many ways. Its nomenclature and its direction are main evidences of this.

This is going to be awesome. I hope it is stronger than the 335is engine. If they just add the power performance kit and bump it to 340hp and 350torque, that is plenty of power for this vehicle.
I dont know why people are so obsessed with the weight? They are solid for a reason! Its not some aluminum can POS like the subis and evos.
These cars are meant to be driven at high speeds, like the autbahn.
Haters gonna hate...

my guess is they're going to give it exactly as much power as it needs to have to match, but not surpass, the lap times of the E92 M3. Give the people who think the new M3 is too soft and refined, who loved the "feel" and "rawness" of the previous M3's, what they think they're missing.

And it will be available in the U.S. I hope
