VIDEO: BMW Continues To Tease Its 1M, Are You Still Intrigued?
As BMW continues to tease the hotly anticipated 1M, we're stuck looking at a ton of photographs and video of a closely guarded 1M with a metallic orange, pokey fender.

Am I disappointed? Slightly. Am I surprised, no. These are the games of an automaker.

But if you are as intrigued as we are in the new 1M, you'll do yourself a favor and head over to BimmerFile where the boys over there got a nice selection of photos and videos of the upcoming product.

**Note: the writer, Gabe, suggests that one element of the car will change. Although we note that there may be a fender vent, we're going to venture out and assume the 1M will get a new set of wheels. We're digging the old-school BBS look and all but we think this car should be sportin' something a bit more modern...

***Thanks to BimmerFile for the tip

The 1M is here… sorta. BMW M will be giving us a strip-tease leading up to the Detroit autoshow. And that tease starts today, August 27th at Road America. Originally this was to be the very first place in the world anyone would have seen the car. However confusion over time-zones saw the release of a video on m-power.com eight hours early....

Looks like a car cover malfunction.

The strip tease is accomplishing two goals:

1) Its getting all this attention, way more than a single unveil. Way, way way more.
2) The 1 has some very ugly parts to it, like the pot belly rocker panel behind the front wheels. The strip is showing us the good parts while hiding the ugly ones. Brilliant.

Hats of to whomever at BMW thought this up. They hooked all of us!

Why would you want it to have different wheels? Those are M3 Competition Package wheels. As in "they cost EXTRA on the (much more expensive) M3". If they're going to make them standard on the 1M that's pretty awesome.

So the new 1M is going to be what the old M3 was, small, light and powerful. Not blown to larger proportions and lost in a sea of competition.

To much needless standard equipement, too heavy, too ugly, along with a BMW stupid price. Try again, BMW.
