The Spies break first pics of the upcoming Maserati Quattroporte Coupe-Part three

New Maserati Quattroporte Coupe

The Italian car maker Maserati is preparing a coupe version of the Maserati Quattroporte, which has been on the market since 2003.

The pictures are showing a prototype during high speed testing at Nürburgring. It is in fact made to confuse the onlooker, because this Quattroporte will in reality have only two doors. On the prototype the second side doors are fake; also the body has some plastic parts for disguise.

The launch of the new Coupe is scheduled for next year. A convertible is also in the pipeline. The Coupe’s styling is again done by Pininfarina. Most likely it will use the same engine as in the sedan, a 4,2 litre V 8 performing 400 HP.

Well hopefully the coupe will have longer doors, but what the hey....maybe fake doors will catch on. I have seen worse on actual cars...lol.

I will like it if Maserati is going to design it nearer to 612 Scaglletti.

...For camoflauge purposes?

Still, I can see it having similiar proportions to the Mercedes-Benz CL.
