2011 Lexus IS F Euro 5 Price

2011 Lexus IS F Euro 5 Price
Change for change’s sake is rarely worthwhile, particularly when you are dealing with such a well-defined concept as Lexus’s ultra-high performance IS F sports saloon. So it is that the new 2011 IS F differs from its predecessor in only a few well-thought-out details.

The principal change is that the mighty 417bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine has been brought in line with Euro 5 emissions standards, a task accomplished without impacting on its performance. The IS F, equipped with an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission, maintains its nought to 62mph acceleration time of 4.8 seconds and 168mph (electronically limited) top speed; CO2 emissions and fuel consumption are also unaffected.

2011 Lexus IS F Euro 5 price is 57,105 GBP.

A "refresh" is not a "redo" like Ford did with the Fusion...if they did a "Redo" you would have an argument...this refresh is really so minor no one will know. It also has the smallest back seat in it's class and the worst AWD system in the snow.

Yes, the famous Lexus IS refresh that only appears to be the addition of LEDs in the headlights. Some refresh? At least you can tell the differences between the pre and post refreshed BMW 3-series. With the Lexus IS-F, you have to go to their website to find out what was changed. What a joke.

What's the purpose of a refresh if you can't tell the difference? That's a very weak and poorly done job by Lexus if you ask me. BMW did a much better job at refreshing the 3-series than Lexus did with the IS. Not surprising though. BMW always outdoes Lexus.

"this refresh is really so minor no one will know."

- It isn't a refresh. And Lexus is playing people for fools by saying that it is. Which is something they seem to be good at, tricking people.

I like the style of the IS, as it has aged quite well. The ISF, however, has way too much going on and dare i say, looks riced out.

Something interesting to point out is the ISF has the same 0-60mph times as a 335ci. After some research, however, the BMW M3 only shaves off a mere .2 seconds off the 335 and ISF's time.

Either way, I do not think the IS will be restyled until MY2013

I think the IS-F clocked a 4.2 secs 0-62 in road and track 4.8 is just the official manufacturer time.

C&D got 4.1s out of the sedan variant of the m3... the germans are also being conservative with their numbers.

its great how they continually improve the IS-F since this was their first high performance sedan. I mean after being introduced, a LSD was added in 2010, and now in 2011 they are making suspension improvements to make it less firm. great news

Why didn't they do that from the beginning? An LSD is standard fare for a High-Performance vehicle, and the firm ride should have been apparent during pre-production testing. What? They didn't think anyone wouldn't notice? Or did they themselves not even notice it? Either way I would have thought that a manufacturer with the resources and engineering strength of Lexus would have been able to get it right the first time.

@LexSucks,

Yeah, I was saying the same thing to myself about Ferrari and all this other Auto Company that make exotic sportscar. With years of racing heritage and making high performance sportscar but their car still goes in flame. Remember many of them went in Flame? Off course you do :- )

The LF-A went up in flames first at the Nurburgring. How soon you forget :)

And Ferrari didn't wait years to address the issue, unlike lexus IS-F.

@LexSucks,

Do me a favor and google Ferrari going in Flame, I belief it has been happen even with the last Generation as well. And Secondly, Ferrari is doing a recall right away with the F458 Italia is because they don't to end up like Toyota.

Toyota screw up and now they're paying the price. Just like the Big 3 or now Big 2 (they are doing a good job trying to bring the company back.)

Every auto company has issue with their cars.

Don't even compare Lexus to Ferrari. And I never said that other makes are perfect. What I do know for sure is that given the choice between a Ferrari and a Lexus? I wouldn't even consider the Lexus. I'd choose the Ferrari, flames and all.

Stick to the subject, you were saying with the technology and resource but Toyota and Lexus cannot get it right. So I was pointing a point that even Lambo and Ferrari who has many decade ahead of makeing sportscar and still cannot perfect how can Lexus do it.

I am done arguing with you because it is just a waste of my time.

I never said that the cant get it right. I was saying that they haven't gotten it right. There are things that Ferrari (and BMW) has gotten right that Lexus hasn’t. And why would you bring up Ferrari? What Ferrari’s compete with the Lexus IS-F? What do Ferrari’s catching on fire has to do with the Lexus IS-F?

What about cars like the BMW M3? The car that the IS-F competes against. The M3 corners better than the IS-F yet still doesn’t have that rough ride. BMW also gave it a proper Limited-Slip-Diff. BMW got it right. But rather than acknowledge that fact and admit that Lexus got it wrong, you bring up Ferrari. Score another victory for BMW over Lexus. What’s happening with the Ferrari 458 Italia is irrelevant in this conversation.
