NEW Shots Of The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS Emerge On The 'Net
An icon has been reborn. Although Mercedes-Benz issued some pictures of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, there just weren't enough and the car was subjected to a studio setting.
Well, we've got a couple of new colors plus a change in scenery this time around as Mercedes has decided to get the CLS out and in the open for our prying eyes. Additionally, there are some shots of the light interior color. It's got a great, expensive two-tone look going on.
Take a look at the rest of the images in our CLS photo gallery.

i don't know...something about it looks weird. i still prefer the current CLS design over this one, it just flowed better. i guess we have to wait to see it in person to make a better judgemnet.

Just give it time, maybe some details need to grown on you.

I agree, there was something so sexy about the original. I am also not loving what MB is doing with their interiors these days. May be a step up in quality, but there was something special looking about the current CLS interior, in my opinion.

I like that matte silver one but the red one looks way overdone with all that chrome gorgeous interior though but im really confused as to why Mercedes feels it needs that much chrome on its new cars...the same thing on the e coupe.....its way to traditional and a bit garish

@ r15mohd,
I'll tell you why it seems weird: it's the fussy little details.
The rear lights are garish, the side profile is segmented and overdone (3 prominent lines running in different directions; especially clumsy-looking in 3/4 view. They should have had the shoulder crease run front to rear and eliminated the "dropping" crease over the rear wheels). Your term was spot-on: it doesn't "flow" like the current one.
Front end is acceptable and interior is exquisite, though.

Why does it have to be so overwrought! Nothing about the exterior design conveys elegance. It just screams "Look at me!". Kind of like Pamela Anderson.

That is a very gorgeous car. Cars in this segment are meant to evoke interest and stir controversy otherwise nobody would ever talk about them. Can't wait until the children move out so I can go out of the 5-seater W221 and into the 4-seater CLS.
