Official: Porsche returning to the Detroit Auto Show
As you may know already, Porsche was seen as the biggest absence from the Detroit Auto Show, but it appears that things will change for next year, as the German manufacturer will return to the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, after a three-year absence.

For those who don’t know, Porsche withdrew from the American car show back in 2008 because it wanted to find “more personal, direct ways to reach out and communicate to its potential customer base.”

But, are they coming back to Chicago? Last years display by a local dealer flat out sucked. They had the cars roped off. The people behind the ropes looked to be porters who were uninterested in helping people or selling cars.

Who cares, the cars will be roped off, locked and surrounded by security just like they were when they had a presence at the show. Unless your an owner or have a Amex Centurion card your out of luck. So for me, don't care. If I wanna drive a Porsche I'll go rent one for a day.

The last time they were here they had them open so you could get in and generally see the cars, just like a Chevy.
