PARIS MOTOR SHOW: WAS BMWNA CEO Right? Is The 6-Series The
With a tremendous amount of interest, the BMW 6-Series Coupe Concept has had AutoSpies buzzing the past couple of days. And, with good reason. It is ushering in a new look for the German brand.

00R admits it looks good but is it really that good? He's not so sure.

We have to know:

Was BMW North America CEO, Jim O'Donnell right when he said that the next-generation 6-Series would be the "best-looking BMW in years?"

Additionally, we have a cool video showing you some of the development of the 6-Series. It's not a long one, so it's probably worth your while....

BMW 6 Series Coupe Concept coverage continues with a video posted by BMW showcasing the new 6er through its inception.

The car will be officially unveiled on September 30th at the Paris Auto Show and the first production model will arrive at Geneva in 2011...

Is The 6-Series The "Best-Looking BMW In Years?" Definitely not. The Z8 was iconic. Even today's 5 series' exterior looks better to me than the new 6. It's a yawner from the outside. The interior has some flash. I bet it handles really well, in traditional BMW fashion.

NO. I think the M3, 7 Series and the last Z4M are all better looking. Id say it looks about as good looking as the previous 6 which I would not call a looker.

Nope. Not pretty. The front looks like a camaro and volvo mated. Too bad BMW had some good improvements lately.

Based exclusively on the exterior, I would have a hard time choosing between this and the outgoing model.

Only a slight improvement over the previous 6-series. And that isn't saying much. Why can't BMW get the 6-series right?

I reckon the front end looks a bit bloated

It's better than the current 6er -- but there is still something off with the front end...

As an owner of a current 6'er, based solely on the photographs, I'm not sure if I'm going to be trading in for this one. The only initial reservations I had when purchasing my car was the rear end, but it eventually grew on my wife and I. Something about the new 6 is disproportionate. But I'll reserve my final judgment when I see it in person, it can just be the photographs/renderings...I initially thought the audi S5 looked awkward in all the photos I had seen but turned out quiet stunning on the street.

Certainly looks better than the current model. Front end styling could have been better. Rest is very nice.

If this is their best looking car in years, they need to fire some design people! The exterior is nothing spectacular. Maybe it's just me, but doesn't it look like a fish from certain angles?

The E52 Z8 (2000-2003) is the best looking BMW in the last 20 years. The new E89 Z4 is the current best looking BMW right now, with the right wheels. The new F12 6 Series needs to be seen in the metal like most car s these days. The interior is very well executed from what I can tell. I hope they still offer a 6-speed manual as well as a DCT. The M sport package will offer a different front fascia. And various manufactures (Alpina) and tuners RDSport, G-Power, Breyton, Lumma Tuning will offer many optic and hardware upgrades, some better than others. Bring it BMW!

Not particularly original or ground breaking. Same overall silohuette, and lacks continuity. Fender treatment behind front wheel is a bit distracting and adds a heaviness to the front area relative to the more fluid and feminine rear.

Its better than the last 6er but that is hardly a compliment.
