2011 BMW 530d Touring REAL Life Shots -- The PERFECT Daily Driver That Will Never Come To The US?
Without question, one of the best designs of the year can be arguably concluded as the 2011 BMW 5-Series. It has a lovely presence and is not overdone with any particular design language.
The best part about it is that the F10 5-Series looks the part of a traditional BMW while moving the brand forward one step. It's not too avant garde nor is it so far back in time that it already looks dated. 00R is digging the balance.
But it goes without saying that we do have a beef with one thing. We don't get the coolest versions here in The States! Take, for example, what 001 stumbled across; a 530d Touring. Not only is it function but LOOK AT THAT AGGRESSIVE STANCE!
What a cool daily driver!
With that said, we want to know:
is this the perfect daily driver we WON'T receive in The States?

BMWUSA just gotta bring this one over. I'll trade in my 535i Xdrive for an all-wheel 530d instantly without question.

Looks mean. Those tail-lights looks amazing - way better when they were first introduced on the 7 series.

You're damn straight they shouldn't send this thing to this great land of ours. We hate station wagons, diesel, hatchback and anything less than a V6. So send us only what we want, X6 5GT, SUVs, and big hulking V8 (and I don't mean tomato juice either). So sod off to the world with their so-called practicality, we live by our rule and we don't need to care what the world think.

If you can own only one car this is the one. BMW is making a big mistake...BMW wagon owners are loyal (see above) and influence BMW purchases far beyond their number. When I last moved I needed to get rid of one of my four cars...my wife had her choice of keeping a BMW 530i wagon or the Mercedes S550. SHE CHOSE THE BMW WAGON ! are you listening BMW ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ive always loved and respected BMW but not liking the new 5 (or at least it has not grown on me yet) I think the E Class or even the A6 is better looking.

Bring it to the USA and I'm in.
I think the reason wagons do not sell well in the USA is because the manufactures make more profit on the SUV type vehicles than on the wagons. If the manufactures started marketing their wagons as safer, better mileage, just as much room, more sporty to drive, etc than SUV's you would see wagons sale jump. But how would the manufactures explain why they sell SUV's?
