PARIS MOTOR SHOW: BMW 6-Series Concept, The Best Looking BMW In Years?

You had to of known that once BMW's North American CEO, Jim O'Donnell, said that the new 6-Series would be the "Best-looking BMW in years," that the 6'er would come under heavy scrutiny.

After a period of time where most enthusiasts and industry professionals thought BMW design had taken a nose dive, is the 6-Series the car that's going to bring it back to the top of the hill?

How does the new BMW 6-Series Concept compare to Audi and Mercedes-Benz's products? Is it more modern and elegant? Do you find its design still too avant garde?

It's pretty hard to dislike the 6 from 001's shots down below but weigh in and let your voice be heard.

Thats nice I think this is the best looking BMW i seen so far next to the New F10 5 series....This is way better looking than the previous model the lines are more clean and I like how they still incorporated the Bangle Butt on the rear. I think the car will look somewhat like this if not exactly like this. Cant wait to see the M6 concept!!!!!!! the design looks like it was well thought out and it has been well executed IMO

Definitely better than the previous, sinfully boring 6. But still a yawner (we've seen pics here before). And definitely NOT the best looking BMW ever, to *my* eyes. The iconic Z8 will go down in history as an exclusive classic, while this car will be remember as just another BMW. Even so, I'm sure there will be fans and buyers in sufficient numbers to be worth BMW's while. It is, after all, a BMW.

BTW, you have to step back from it to get the full visual effect. These "up in your face" close-ups don't give you a skewed perspective that's NOT what you'll experience when you meet it in the flesh.

Agreed, much much better than the last 6er. I found the previous generation to be awfully unattractive and my least favorite (yes, worse than X3) design from BMW. This thing is going to knock it out of the ball park, good job BMW!

Really looking forward to seeing how they make the M6 look sportier.

Their trying to make the 6 series to the 7 series like how the CL(S-Class coupe) is to the S-Class. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. It's far from the bangle-butt era but the front end looks a bit awkward. I think the 8 series is still one of the best looking BMW's of all time. Next is the E46 M3.

The best looking BMW's to my eyes were the original 3.0CSI Coupe,the original 6 series and the 850. This is the best looking modern BMW. It harks back to the original 6 series with it's subtle shark like grill.It is definately better looking and more integrated then previous 6 series(as in trunk area). However over all the design is still a bit bland to my eyes. It's too rounded off lacking the crisp sharper lines of earlier cars.

Chrysler sebring rear end. huge gap lines. shark nose front end and the same nasty rear as all the other cars they make, 3 and 5 and 7 and ...you get the idea.
