The hottest, most exclusive convertible you can buy?

I heard that to get this car you have to give them your SL500 and 100k dollars and then they turn your SL into this. So thats like close to 200k dollars, oh well, its worth it.

I like the idea of coachbuilt cars, kind of like back in the old days... Fisker used to work for one of the auto companies, I can't remember which one though....

From the guy that brought you the Astin Martin, but decided to take its design for himself. Yes they are nearly identical. Rather get the Astin for less.

You'd be an idiot to spend a hundred grand to rebody a beautiful SL or even a marginally nice looking 650. Thats just dumb. It doesn't look that good.

A SL500 for the convert, and a 6-Series for the coupe......I think I will stay with the original thank you. The interior of both cars do not let you forget what your really driving.

But, there are people who pay money for exclusivity and don't care about what's underneath. And those are the people going to go 'ga ga' over it, while real auto enthusiasts will know the truth of what lies beneath that weird skin.

That's the point exactly, people who put up their sl and a 100k don't care about money. They care about being that guy who owns that car in that one city that no one else has seen before. It's a label of class and power and saying, "hey any rich guy can buy a lambo or ferrari but which one of you guys has this."
