Fool Of The Day? 22 Year Old Gets Ferrari Scuderia Impounded On Second Day Of Ownership
North Vancouver police have impounded a pair of hot wheels — a BMW and a $400,000 Ferrari — last weekend when officers pulled over two drivers clocked at about 200 km/h.

The Vancouver men, 21 and 22, were stopped by North Vancouver RCMP Saturday when officers spotted them racing on a road popular among hikers, outdoor enthusiasts and families.

I applaud their behavior! Its about time that someone drove these cars like they should be driven. I am sick of being stuck behind a balding 60-yr old guy driving a GT-3 at 58mph in a 65mph zone. Ether drive it or give it to someone who will!

I go there frequently, The speed limit there is 60kmh, most people drive 80kmh, there are too many people there to do this high speed safely, these guys are idiots, and worse off what about his break in period? I wouldn't want his car after.

My suspicion that break-in periods were BS was confirmed earlier this year when watching an episode of "Ultimate Factories" on Audi and the construction of the R8. Before that engine ever gets put in the car, they have it red-lining for many minutes; the exhaust manifold literally glowing red there is so much superheated exhaust blowing out of the pistons. I'm sure Ferrari does similar testing of the engine before it even gets dropped into the chassis. Fire away.

Break in period? maybe they make engines with different metals? has anything changed or is the break in period just bs?

The break in period is BS i worked in an GM engine plant years ago and yes they are started in the factory and dogged out before they mounted into a car or truck. I guess the reasoning for this is if something where to fail in the engine it would happen then and not when it is in a car or able to fail when it is in the customers hands.

Their probably from West Vancouver (very expensive homes). I see many kids try to race me all the time in their equally expensive cars if not more but their 5-7 years younger than I am. They tailgate me all the time as well which really ticks me off. I'm not stupid to race kids as their more likely to hit me than anything.

A fool and his Ferrari are soon parted!

To be honest, what do you expect from a 22yr old in a Ferrari. To his credit, he's still alive and appears to have not killed anyone.
