92 km under ideal conditions. How far if you have to put on the heater, or A/C, like in most of the driving world, much of the year?

that's 92 miles not km. And who says it is under ideal conditions? It could be like the volt saying 40miles but in reality being able to get up to 50miles.

My understanding is that the unspoken rule of marketing is to present the product in the best possible light, rather than what a typical user will experience. That's why you see diet ads touting losses of 65 lbs, laptops claiming battery life of "up to" 8 hours, ISPs claiming speeds of "up to" X, hybrids claiming astronomical mileage, and electrics proclaiming loooong rangees.

Reason? Best case sceario under laboratory conditions. In other words, if you buy based on marketing hype, you may well be disappointed. Caveat emptor.
