AUTO SPIES WORLD EXCLUSIVE: First look at the next Pontiac Firebird Trans AM

While all the buzz across the internet is focusing on the Camaro concept from GM being built or not, the Spies say don't waste your time worrying about that because it WILL be built.

As you know AutoSpies.com was the first to make the call that the new Camaro would definitely get the green light from GM.

And, we were the first to break the story that the Camaro would also spawn a new Pontiac Firebird...see 2/2 article below

From our 2/2/2006 issue

AUTO SPIES WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Hot news on the Camaro concept

Sources tell the Spies that big news could be coming out of GM very soon about the impending confirmation of the Camaro becoming a reality.

So what's new about that?

Not much, but that's not the scoop.

The Spies have learned when they do announce it will be built, they will also mention the return of the Firebird and Trans AM will not be far behind the Camaro.

And why not we say?

Pontiac dealers are desperate for hot product so this makes perfect sense.

Look for the Pontiac announcement once GM officially confirms the Camaro...

*Special thanks to Michael Greenland for the design

Hey GM, will you just die already? The only reason to bring back the Puking Chicken T/A is for a Smokey and the Bandit remake. It has the same wheels as the Camaro concept. How original.
Maybe Pontiac will also bring back the Tempest...who knows because General Motors IS that stupid.

Um... Isn't this the same car that that other car magazine said was going to be the new American-built GTO?

I hope GM produces this one. I have wanted a Trans-Am for a long time and was debating on weather to buy a late model one or wait to see if Pontiac releases one. Now I will wait to see. But I'll still keep my Grand-Prix.

For all the Smokey and The Bandit comments... A Knight Rider Movie is scheduled for release.... Now that Trans-Am would be excellent for a come back!! Considering the orginal one was used for TV; Pontiac begged for the logo to be removed since all of America demanded one, yet they couldn't produce one at the time. Could they now??
