Porsche could make a return to Formula 1 racing, says new chairman Mueller
Porsche’s new chairman, Matthias Mueller, is not closing the possibility for the company to return to Formula 1 racing, according to an Autocar report. In this interview held at the Paris Motor Show, Mueller said that either Porsche or Audi will compete in LMP1 prototype sports car racing.

And that the other brand will be in Formula 1. Last June, Audi’s motorsport boss Wolfgang Ullrich had told German news agency SID that F1 and Audi “do not fit.” At the Paris Motor Show, Mueller said that with LMP1, there are two classes and two brands – Audi and Porsche.

Hopefully they'll do better than Toyota did when they entered into F1. You know? The same Toyota that people here said that "could be successful at what ever they choose to do". I guess that's true as long as they don't choose F1 or Supercars.

But back to Porsche entering F1. It would be great for the sport. I can hear the endless debates on how to properly pronounce the word "Porshce". LOL!!

agree on the pronounciation part... I absolutely cannot stand when people do not pronounce the "e" at the end and claim to be "car people". Its a basic of knowing cars, though it really stems from the ignorance of not knowing the German language...

Its not Porsch... Its Porsch"e"!!!!

Toyota sucks in F1, but you cannot deny LFA IS a supercar. Honda never has a supercar, but they did pretty well in F1, once.

NSX? At the time I think it might have been a supercar. It was definitely in 911 territory. And yes, the LF-A is a supercar.

They need an outlet to burn some serious cash. IMO, Lamborghini should be the marque to join F1 and not Porsche. To go head to head with Ferrari.
