Audi planning to bring more RS models to the United States
It appears that Audi wants more performance-oriented RS models to arrive in the United States, according to Audi Quattro General Manager of Development Stephan Reil who spoke at a roundtable interview at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt, Germany last Tuesday.

The business case for these low-production models is improved due to a more favorable euro-to-dollar exchange rate and increased similarity in emissions regulations. Audi previously announced that the TT RS will be arriving in the near future and that the RS5 will be released in 2012 as a 2013 model.

At least the US is getting the car. Legal documentation, safety requirements and timing need to be completed first before being shipped over.

Hopefully the Future RS models will offer performance worthy of thier price. But as with all things Audi it will be overpriced. Hopefully the future RS models will fare better than the current RS5. The RS5 performs at BMW 335i levels while costing $15,000 more than an M3. Audis are such rip-offs.
