Bmw working on an M Sport package for the X1 crossover
The first spy shots that show the BMW X1 soft-roader in an M Sport package, while being tested, finaly appeared. The car spotted shows a lightly disguised BMW X1 in the most sporting variant.

I think BMW can do better than that, and redo the entire front fascia for the standard X1. Even the Infiniti EX looks better, and it's not even that pretty. Speaking of that, when is the U.S. getting the EX37 like the rest of the civilized world?

What separates this from the X3. I seriously can't see a reason to have an suv smaller than the current x3. Are they moving the X3 upmarket as in making it larger and bringing the X1 as a replacement for the previous X3? Thats the only sense I can make out of it. It would do what the 1 series did as a worthy e30 replacement as the 3 series gets bigger and bigger every generation.

yes, the upcoming new X3 is bigger than the current X3. It will be roughly the size of the previous generation X5, and the X1 is slightly smaller than the existing X3. So there will be three sizes -- small, medium, and "medium-er" (I can't call the X5 "large").

So tiny, small, and extra medium
